For access control, AxxonSoft receives door and access-related events from Hikvision controllers, displaying access granted/denied states, door status, and access alarms on maps and in event logs. Metadata is a lean description of moving objects within the scene, including their coordinates, size, and other parameters. The metadata generated by Hikvision cameras is transferred to Axxon One VMS and Axxon PSIM software for real-time video analysis or recorded into footage archive to enable Smart Event Search.

How-to Installation Guide for Hikvision IP Receiver Pro Integration Module

1. Prepare the Receiver Pro service
   Install and activate the Hik IP Receiver Pro service on a server or PC reachable by your network. Ensure correct network settings (ports, IP) and disable sleep mode on the host machine so the service runs continuously.
2. Enable alarm service and device zones
   In the Hikvision interface, verify that alarm reception is enabled. If using panels or devices that require zones, define partitions/areas and link alarm channels to zones so Receiver Pro can transmit alarm and verification data.
3. Configure the integration object in AxxonSoft
   In Axxon One VMS or Axxon PSIM, add an integration object for Hikvision IP Receiver Pro, specifying the network address and credentials that match the configured Receiver Pro service.
4. Verify connection state
   Confirm the object status changes to “Connected” inside AxxonSoft. A disconnected state typically indicates network or credential mismatches.
